our wardrobe is ideal for the urban cyclist

As urban cyclists, we have been cycling in the city on two wheels for years. On electric and classic bikes. In winter and in summer. It's healthier, faster and less polluting!

But we couldn't find any suitable clothes for this.

So we invented them. Timeless pieces with tailor-made finishes. But systematically revisited to absorb our daily accelerations.

Here we explain the 5 rules that make our wardrobe unique.

1) OUR CLOTHES LIMIT PERSPIRATION

The sweating is the No. 1 drawback of a classic wardrobe! Especially when it's made of cotton.

When you're on 2 wheels, it's even more important. You shouldn't arrive at the office sweating.

rule 1 : 100% OF OUR FIRST LAYERS ARE BREATHABLE.

Say goodbye to cotton, which dries very slowly. Our shirtsour polo shirtsour jumpers are in merinos superfine at Tencel®. And even in exceptional technology the 37°5.

They maintain an ideal temperature (to limit perspiration) and dry very quickly. No more feeling of fabric sticking to your skin!

rule 2 : ALL OUR 3RD LAYERS ARE VENTILATED

Two-way zips are provided under the armpits of our car-coat or our blazer jacket

You activate them whenever you want.

Invisible, they can remain closed when you walk slowly. When open, they will accelerate the evacuation of moisture during exercise and prevent the temperature from rising too high.

Bonus Here are the 5 rules to follow to avoid sweating on your bike!

  1. Use small gear ratios. Pedalling should be easy!

  2. anticipate the end of your journey: put your foot down a little before you arrive, to cool down

  3. do not use a backpack! It will inevitably make your back sweat. Go for the bagsbaskets or trailers

  4. Choose clothing made of wool, tencel or linen. These materials optimise moisture absorption and neutralise perspiration odours. Really avoid cotton and polyester.

  5. Choose protective clothing that is breathable and ventilated. A zip or air vents will circulate air and lower your body temperature.

2) NEVER LEAVE THE KIDNEYS UNCOVERED

For us, there is nothing worse than shooting at your jumper to try to cover the lower back or to have a shirt that comes out of the trousers.

rule 3 : 100% OF OUR PIECES HAVE A SUITABLE CUT / LENGTH

We add just the right amount of fabric or knit to the front and back, and even to the sleeves. This way you are protected from the cold - and the ridiculous - in all circumstances.

You have to be a cyclist or have run after your bus to realise this. But we validate all our parts by testing them extensively.

3) EFFECTIVE PROTECTION FROM WIND AND WEATHER

We love living outdoors. And if we want to encourage cycling, we need to protect urban cyclists whatever the weather. Rain doesn't get any less wet in the city!

rule 4 : OUR EXTERIOR PARTS ARE ALL WATERPROOF AND WINDPROOF

We use membranes built into our fabrics, not ineffective water repellent treatments. They are resistant to 20 metres of water on our blazer jacket, thanks to the German fabric Sympatex®. It is the equivalent of Gore tex® but more responsible. And 10 metres of water on our car coat

Or a removable front panel on our blazer jacket to protect your chest.

4) MAKING LIFE EASIER FOR URBAN CYCLISTS

Clothing must adapt to our lifestyle. To make urban cycling easier, we have adopted some life-changing tips.

rule 5 : OUR CLOTHES ARE SMART TO ALLOW MOVEMENT

Our city pants for the urban cyclist are reinforced with a gusset They have invisible zipped pockets so you don't lose your keys, change or phone. They have invisible zipped pockets so you don't lose your keys, change or phone.

The merino wool that we use is waterproof: a quick wipe with a sponge and the splashes go away. It is also stretchy, without elastane.

Our cycling jacket and our car coat have reflective strips under the cuffs and in the collar to be seen at night. And an invisible zipped pocket on the forearm.

On the car coatTwo way zips at the front and slits at the back allow for freedom of movement.

The urban cyclist will recognise the importance of these "tricks".
